North Carolina Zoo


       The North Carolina Zoo is located in Asheboro. It is a very fun place to visit and enjoy. The NC Zoo has 1,100 animals.  There are many different kinds of animals from each different continent.  Some examples of the animals are polar bears, lions, and hippopotamus.  The zoo is open 364 days a year; the zoo closes only on Christmas day and during severe weather.  The zoo isn’t free; you must have a ticket to get in. An adult ticket is only $10, for seniors, it is $8, for a child (2-12) $6, and for child under (2) it is free.
